How many people make a group?
A tour runs even with one rider. A "group" for us starts at 4 — from there we arrange shifts if needed and agree the times in advance.
Do we need a licence?
Not off the public road network, and that is where all our tours run. The minimum is 12 years and 150 cm; under 18 needs a signed parental declaration, and 12–15 ride accompanied.
Can it be a surprise?
Yes. Take a voucher instead of a fixed date — valid 12 months and the recipient books it themselves.
