Who is this tour for?

For people who have ridden before. This is not a first ride — 50+ kilometres, 5 hours and technical sections call for a feel for the bike you can only build up. If this is your first time, start with Skaklya or In Botev's Footsteps and come back for this one.

Saturdays and Sundays only. Five hours on the route do not fit into a weekday afternoon.

How is this different from In Botev's Footsteps?

The same route, ridden in both directions. 50+ kilometres instead of 25, five hours instead of 2.5. The way back looks different — you read the terrain from scratch and the difficulty doubles.

How physically demanding is it?

The bike does the pulling, but five hours in the saddle and the technical sections call for stamina and constant attention. The guide is with you the whole way and stops are adjusted to the group.

What should I wear and bring?

Long trousers and closed shoes — we provide the gear. For five hours in the mountain bring water too, plus a cap and sunscreen on a sunny day.

About the route

50+ km. 5 hours. Both directions. Only for those who are ready. This is not a tour. This is a challenge. The complete "Footsteps of Botev" route — ridden in both directions, with technical sections, off-road segments and over 50 kilometres of riding. For those who want everything Vratsa Balkan has to offer. You leave Okolchitsa and keep going. Technically demanding forest trails, panoramic zones above Vratsata, Skaklya waterfall, Zgorigrad — and then back again. The return direction is different. The terrain looks new, the difficulty doubles, the adrenaline never stops. Your guide stays with you throughout — but this route only rewards those who truly came for it. We recommend it for riders who have already completed "Footsteps of Botev" and want the next level. Physically and mentally demanding. Not for a first ride. For those who find "great" isn't enough — they want "extraordinary". The informed consent declaration is completed and signed on paper on site, before departure — each participant signs their own, however the booking was paid. For participants under 18 it is signed by a parent or guardian. A participant without a signed declaration does not start the tour. When you book online you accept only the Terms and Conditions.
