Don't have special off-road gear? No problem. Here's a practical list of what to wear - and what to avoid.
Mandatory Equipment - Provided by Us
Helmet, knee pads and elbow pads are provided by us on every tour. You don't need to buy anything special.
What to Wear
- Long trousers: jeans or hiking trousers - protection in case of contact with the ground
- Long sleeves or a sweatshirt: even in warm weather - branches and bushes along the route
- Closed shoes with ankle support: high-top trainers, hiking boots or similar
- Gloves: recommended, especially for longer routes
- Sunglasses or dust goggles: in dry and windy conditions
What NOT to Wear
- Sandals, flip-flops or open-toe shoes - dangerous near the footpegs
- Very loose clothing - can get caught on the bike
- Expensive or delicate clothes - expect some mud and dust
In Cold or Rainy Weather
- Waterproof outer layer - windbreaker or rain jacket
- Thermal base layer when temperatures drop below 15°C
- Hat or balaclava under the helmet in cold weather
What to Bring With You
- Water - at least 0.5L per hour of riding
- Your phone - for photos and navigation if needed
- Sunscreen on sunny days
